Often, we encounter ill health and disease when our bodies can no longer compensate for the lack of nutrients and rest they need in order to function. Nutrition therapy uses nutrient-dense foods and high quality supplements to help bring your body into balance and optimal health.
First, there is so much confusion about what "eat right" means. And the definition seems to change almost daily. We do know that the standard American diet is not working for most people. This is evidenced by the myriad of medical issues from heart disease, to diabetes, to obesity, that are epidemics in this country.
But there is another piece to this "eating right" that we need to address: the fact that we are all biologically unique. A diet someone else thrives on may not work for you. Just as what tastes great to one person, tastes awful to another.
Together, we look at your body's individual needs — what your body requires for optimal health. Then together, we create a specific plan to help you achieve your health goals and bring your body to balance and healthy function. We also monitor your plan and improvements and make changes to keep you on track with your goals. And we make sure to celebrate your improvements along the way!

So the types of results you can expect to experience include:
I have you fill out some important paperwork in advance, which gives me the background I need to determine what your body needs to heal. In the first part of our first session, typically 2 hours, we go over that information and add to it, so I can have a complete picture of what’s going on. During the second part of the session, I use reflex points on your body and simple tests used by neurologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, etc. to assess what your body needs. For this part you will be on the massage table, fully clothed and fully engaged in the process. Then we develop a plan together that fits your needs and pace.
Follow-up appointments are typically one hour. I also do phone check-ins ranging from fifteen minutes to half an hour. You update me on how you are doing, and we adjust your plan accordingly, moving through your health goals in the process.
For optimal results, I work with clients for 3-6 months in most cases. We communicate regularly with a combination of in-person appointments and/or phone consultations. This continued contact helps to keep you on track with the plan. Also, we adjust your plan as necessary to keep your recovery moving forward, because the body’s needs change over time.
